Dubai - Nakheel, one of the UAE's largest developers, on Sunday said, it has completed 40 per cent of 1,042 houses in Al Manara within the Waterfront project.

The announcement is part of Nakheel's plan to hand over the project by the end of this year.

The Waterfront, the world's largest waterfront project, is two times the area of Hong Kong Island, and offers accommodations to nearly 1.5 million people.

Marwan Al Qamzi, managing director of the Waterfront and the Palm Jebel Ali, said construction work is progressing quickly, as more than 1,000 units are almost completed.
