Dubai: Over 9,000 affordable units are to be released on to the market as part of a new development, the Dh2 billion Al Khail Gate in Dubai.

The development is tucked away between Shaikh Zayed Road and AL Khail Road and will offer a total of 9,139 apartments available to rent.

Al Khail Gate is a gated community and comprises 82 residential buildings.

Phase one, with a construction value of Dh700 million, is made up of 3,475 apartments in 49 buildings. It is fully leased and has already been handed over to tenants.

Phase two, constructed at a cost of Dh1.3 billion, is made up of 5,664 apartments in 33 buildings and is in the process of being handed over. Both phases offer studios, one and two-bedroom apartments. Phase two also has three-bedroom apartments.
